Dr. Lauren Wilson
Dr. Wilson has her Bachelor's degree in Sociology with a minor in Psychology from the University of West Georgia, her Master's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Georgia State University, Specialist's degree in School Counseling from Valdosta State University and her Doctorate from the University of West Georgia in Professional Counseling and Supervision. This is her 12th year as a School Counselor and her 9th year with Gwinnett County Schools. In addition to being a school counselor, she is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a National Certified Counselor. Dr. Wilson lives in the Lanier Community and loves calling White Oak home.

White Oak Elementary Counseling Program gains national recognition!
The Recognized ASCA Model Program (RAMP) is a recognition program based on the ASCA National Model. RAMP is an exemplary professional development experience that supports school counselors in their efforts to align their school counseling program with the ASCA National Model. The program is awarded to schools, not districts nor individual school counselors. More information can be found at the ASCA website: schoolcounselor.org.
White Oak Counseling Mission and Vision Statement
The vision of the White Oak Counseling Department is to help students become high–achieving learners who are ready for further educational or professional endeavors post high school. Our students will become world–class citizens who strive to be the best learners, leaders, and successful in their post-secondary pursuits. All students will have numerous avenues for self-growth which is supported by the comprehensive counseling program. Through collaboration with teachers, administrators, parents/guardians and community members, students will have access to various learning opportunities which facilitates positive life skills and high academic achievements. Students will leave White Oak Elementary prepared for a rigorous education, lifelong learning, and provide a positive influence in their community.
