Welcome to the White Oak Elementary Media Center
Our media center serves as the heart of our school, where students and families come together to explore the joy of reading. We encourage students to discover their own interests by selecting books that resonate with them. For our younger readers in grades K-2, we have a special Everybody book section filled with delightful fiction picture books, beginner chapter books, and just-right nonfiction titles. Older students are invited to explore the entire library, where they can find nonfiction resources for classroom study as well as many fiction titles for personal enjoyment. We look forward to fostering a lifelong love of reading in all our students!

Makerspace Storytime with a STEM Twist
Students join us for an exciting adventure in our Makerspace Storytime! As part of the White Oak STEM program, every month, students will dive into a delightful children's fiction book. After enjoying the story, they’ll tackle fun STEM challenges inspired by the tale, creating original solutions to problems that arise from the story. It’s a fantastic way to spark creativity and a love for learning through literature and hands-on STEM activities!
Ranch Hands
What is a Ranch Hand? A Ranch Hand is a White Oak ES service club supporting the library media center by checking in and shelving returned books, displaying books, dusting and light cleaning, and helping prepare the media center for classes. Students in grades 3-5 are welcome to apply in September each year.
